It's vacation time! This month I'll be taking a well-needed vacation with family and friends on a lake in the wilds of New Hampshire. I'll be back in September ready to write and with deadlines to meet!

Coming This Month

Toy Box: Blindfolds: The Gift—Jeff has been in a funk since his band broke up. When Jeff's birthday rolls around, his lover, Ian, wants to give him something to cheer him up. They're broke, but Ian's idea doesn't involve any money at all, just a thin strip of black fabric. Can he take Jeff out of himself for an evening and give him a gift he'll never forget? For Your Information

If you are unsure of the meaning behind the title of Founder, you're not alone. I've received several emails asking me what the heck I meant. I grew up around horses, I know lots of horse people, enjoy horse racing, and it honestly never occurred to me, though it certainly should have, that it might confuse some of you.

Here's a short little introduction that I've added to my website. I hope you find it helpful!

Founder: To fall, to sink, to lose one's balance, to stumble or break down, to fall apart, to fail. Founder is also the horseman's term for a condition that causes lameness in horses, many of whom are never able to recover. ...but with the right kind of help and a lot of love, some do.

• Author Rec: This month it's time to run, run, run over to Sean Micheal! Sean's new novel, Between Friends, is a wonderful romance about friendship being put to the test. The characters are diverse and interesting and the story will suck you right in.
