Book Expo America. I went to Book Expo America in New York on June 1, 2 & 3 with Torquere Press. It was interesting to experience marketing from a publisher's point of view. I got a little time to nose around as an author, but really I was there to help promote a great press and I had a great time. It was fun to meet everyone that dropped by the table. Thanks for coming by!

Founder. My first gay erotic solo novel centers around a horse barn manager who was raised a cowboy and is used to moving on when he needs to, and a younger hand who shows up at just the wrong time. Though if it really could be love, his timing might be just right. Read an excerpt here. Release date: July 11, 2007, Torquere Press.

Spike. This short, erotic lesbian story describes an encounter between lovers who can't resist the sexual allure of a pair of patent leather, stiletto heels. It will be published as part of a collection of lesbian short stories titled, Sappho's Chest, a Torquere Press Toy Box. Read an Excerpt here. Release date: July 18, 2007, Torquere Press.

(Random) Poetry

I seldom write poetry. This piece was supposed to be a super short little erotic lesbian story, but I woke up one night and scribbled this out on a notebook that I keep by the bed and after that I couldn't write the actual prose. So it stayed a free-form poem. It's hot, I think. Let me know how you feel about it!

my body becomes supple

Fun Stuff

• Author Rec: This month I'm sending you over to visit Jolie du Pre. Jolie edited a lovely anthology of lesbian erotica called "Iridescence" that was just released. She has several readings scheduled and lots of information about the anthology and the rest of her work on her website.

• Website Rec: While we're talking about Jolie, I'll rec her fantastic promo group, GLBT Promo. She says, "GLBT Promo promotes gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender erotica and erotic romance." It's a great place for authors to post about new releases and for readers to find out what's new and what's happening.
