Handyman
This is a story that I wrote for the Arcana (tarot card) line at Torquere Press, based on the tarot card, the Page of Cups. It's the second Arcana I've written for them; the first one is called Whence He Came and was published about a year ago. You can find it here.
Handyman is about Danny, who wakes up one morning to find a flood in his utility room. He's rescently single, and his former boyfriend used to handle all the hands-on stuff at the house. Danny is clueless. The electrician who comes to replace the electrical box is hot, but that's not where the sparks fly. That honor is reserved for Ken, the jack-of-all-trades who shows up to replace the drywall. Ken proves to be very, very handy indeed.
Handyman will be published by Torquere Press in July.
What is Jodi writing right now?
Writing, writing, writing!
Solo work:
I'm still working on my lesbian pulp novel, tentatively titled "The Lady in Question" (except that is the title of a famous movie... argh!), which is proving fun, but also a challenge to write. I'm writing an m/m story for a Taste Test with Torquere Press. I'm pondering several other projects, including a story for Bend Over Big Boy, an anthology that Torquere Press has just posted a call about. Lot's of m/m going on right now, it seems, but no worries, I've got two f/f stories on the horizon as well.
Co-written work:
I am currently (still!) co-writing a really hot lesbian story with Alexa Snow. Chris Owen and I are discussing what our next project will be. We'll cement that while we're together at the Romantic Times Conference in April and then get busy! There will be a novel featuring Phan and Bradford from the Deviations series, and later on, we might have a story about a trucker that will either end up a novel, or a three-part series for Torquere's "Chaser's" line.
Keep checking in! Thanks for reading!
